Ari – A Rescue Story

Every once in a while, we come across a story that embodies both the harsh realities some animals face, and the unyielding hope that a community can bring.

Today, we share Ari’s story with you.

Ari faced an unfortunate accident when he was struck by a car. A kindhearted neighbor who witnessed the event rushed to inform Ari’s owner, expecting immediate concern. Shockingly, the response she received was to “toss him in a ditch,” even upon clarifying that Ari was still alive. Unable to leave Ari in such a predicament, this neighbor took him under her care.

When Ari arrived in our care we got him straight to the vet. He had sustained nerve damage to his front leg, known as brachial plexus avulsion. The silver lining? Every canine with this condition we’ve encountered has made a full recovery. Just when we believed Ari had crossed the toughest hurdles, a new challenge arose – an infection in his injured leg, a result of untreated road rash. Prompt medical attention and a course of antibiotics set him on the right path once again.

Today, Ari’s condition has drastically improved. With his leg healing, and a new brace to support his movements, Ari is slowly but surely finding his footing again. His gentle nature shines through, evident in his calm demeanor and love for simple pleasures like enjoying the outdoors or relishing a bully stick.

Ari’s story is a testament to the resilience of spirit and the transformative power of community. Your continued support ensures that dogs like Ari get a second chance at life, love, and happiness. As we rally around Ari during his recovery, we’re reminded of the impact that collective care and compassion can have.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
