Our virtual Fur Ball is happening NOW! Through a series of five live events, we are telling some of our most compelling stories yet.
This year we have a goal of raising $100,000 for The Safe House, our Kentucky property that you can read more about here. Specifically, we need to turn the existing barn into an animal holding ward where dogs can receive proper care and reside in a safe, clean, temperature-controlled environment until they make the journey up north.
- Monday, May 10 @ 7pm: Theo & his forever family
- Thursday, May 13 @ 7pm: Musical guest 23rd Hour!
- Tuesday, May 18 @ 7pm: The Mine Dogs - 1 year later
- Thursday, May 20 @ 7pm: Alfie & his forever family
- Friday, May 21 @ 7pm: Olivia & her forever family
- Saturday, May 22 @ 7 pm: Special Presentation from Lynne at The Safe House!
With a completed animal holding ward, we will be able to alleviate some of the burden on our partner shelters. They often find themselves overcrowded and underfunded, which leads to an incredible amount of stress on both humans and animals. Safe Hands will be able to accept animals right away...no waiting. Often just a few hours can mean the difference between life and death for dogs and cats in this region as they frequently come to us in dire need; skin and bones, ill or injured, about to give birth or just new born..
$100,000 is what it will cost us to create a safe space to care for animals before they make the trip up north. We can heal their bodies and souls until they’re on our transport van and brought into the arms of their loving fosters and finally forever families.
We can’t do this without you-- your contribution will help us provide critical care to animals who would otherwise be left with little hope.
Please join in and help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 for animals in need!
