Adoption Updates for July 2023

Tony, formerly Parker (in back), Adopted March 2023

“We adopted Parker back in March. He is the sweetest pup and we could not be happier! Anytime you happen to make eye contact with him, he begs for a belly rub!  He and our other dog, Roger, are best friends and love to play and even snuggle (which is a big deal for Roger)!  We can’t imagine life without Tony. He has made all of our days brighter. – Logan

Angel, formerly Maddie, Adopted May 2022

“In May 2022, I adopted the striking Angel from SHAR. My husband, stricken with Alzheimer’s, demanded much of me as his caretaker, and Angel was my serene oasis. Sensing my anxiety, she’d purr on my lap, instantly lowering my stress levels. With my husband now in memory care, Angel and I are constant companions. She adores her sleep, her meals, and our walks in a stroller—a crowd pleaser among the building’s tenants! My gratitude goes out to SHAR for saving these extraordinary animals, as they truly fill our lives with joy.” – Dee

Mallory Adopted April 2021

I thought you might like to know that she is a PERFECT dog!  She’s the sweetest animal I’ve ever encountered and can intuitively shift her demeanor to fit whoever she’s greeting (extra gentle for kids/the elderly/shy dogs etc.). She’s great in the city but she really thrives when I take her up north and she can run and explore to her heart’s content. Thank you so much for bringing her into my life!    – Bri

Breezy, formerly Eloise, Adopted August 2022

We adopted Breezy back in August and couldn’t be more in love with our favorite lady! She loves to chase the chipmunks on our walks and loves to cuddle in bed every night! She also has learned to howl on command! – Megan
