You may remember Alfie from last summer.  He survived parvo but still arrived to us malnourished, weak, and very sick. He was born as part of an unwanted litter and did not receive the care he needed as a pup.  He’d also suffered an injury that left him missing one eye.  That’s a really rough start for a tiny 4 pound pup!

Alfie was in need of urgent critical medical care. He was hospitalized and fighting for his life. But, this little guy has a remarkable spirit. He received several blood transfusions and after a week that was touch and go…he was able to leave the hospital!

Soon he was learning to play, showing off his sweet, goofy personality, and singing beautiful songs to let foster mom know what he wanted.  Most often that was a snuggle!   Alfie is now happy, healthy and home!
