Foster a Dog. Save a Life.

Since it's beginning in October 2006, Safe Hands has rescued and re-homed over 1000 dogs abandoned in high kill shelters in the rural south. We don't have a physical shelter so we can't do what we do without foster homes.
Safe Hands is in desperate need of foster homes. We can only rescue as many pups as we have fosters for. When you foster a dog you really are saving a life. We provide all vet care, food, medications, crate etc.. and all you need to provide is the love.
If you are interested in fostering a pet please fill out the foster application
and we will be in contact with you.

Transportation assistance is also needed for vet visits, running errands, bringing a dog to and from our meet and greet events(Saturdays), delivering supplies to foster homes, and picking up or dropping off donations etc.
Adoption Coordinator
Adoption coordinators are needed to help us finalize adoptions. This position involves bringing a pet to their new homes, completing a home check and reviewing/signing of adoption contract with the adopter.

We always need help with general cleaning of crates, laundry and organizing supplies, paperwork etc.
Administrative Support
Provide support by answering e-mails, making phone calls, assist with coordinating adoptions and foster homes, as well as general follow up when needed.
