Dexter Dollars

What the puppies of Harlan really need is vaccine to help prevent parvo virus.  In the shelter environment this is almost always fatal.Dexter Dollars was created to provide this much needed life saving vaccine to puppies at the shelter. Our wish is that through the Dexter Dollars Fund, no other puppy will have to fight the battle that took our beloved Dexter.

Moses Medical Fund

The Moses Medical Fund was created for our mischeivous but sweet Safe Hands boy,  Moses.

Moses came to us on Christmas Eve of 2006. He was 3 months old and unable to walk due to injuries sustained from being hit by a car. We had originally been told that Moses would need surgery to repair the damage caused to his hip and did a serious amount of fundraising to cover the medical costs.
As it turns out, what Moses needed was good food, a warm bed and lots of TLC. He has made a miraculous recovery and ended up not needing the surgery. The money raised was used to cover medical costs for our other special needs pups. Donations to this fund, set up in Moses' name, will allow us to provide lifesaving veterinary care to other dogs with extensive medical needs due to injury or illness.
