Safe not Idle

Safe Hands has not been idle hands through this cold and blustery time. Since our Big Accident, little baby Alexa had the surgery on her leg and is recovering very nicely. Foster mom reports that within 24 hours she was trying to play and acting very “puppy”. The surgeon expects a full recovery with no long term or future complications. She will be up on our Petfinder site later this week.

One week ago we helped coordinate a transport for 44 dogs and puppies to rescue groups including 9 puppies that entered Safe Hands. Sunshine had two sisters still at the shelter, they had not been well enough to travel on the fateful trip and we had provided medication for them when we were there. Mandy took excellent care of the girls and they made a full recovery. We were thrilled to bring Zoeyann and Frannie to safety and to see them frolicking and playing in their foster home after spending over a month in crates! Beautiful Audrey, Benji’s sister the adorable Jasmine (Jazzy), tiny babies Chip & Dale, sweet, snugly Maya, little Chloe Jane and baby Bindi with the very big belly all came along too.
