Many of our dogs and puppies found homes including Poppit, Nashi, Antonella, Shandy, Bogey,Tippy, Tozer, Tonka, Barkley and Wally Baker - all mentioned in the last update. Lolly recovered fully from her parvo and found her forever home with her foster mom. She is a very sweet and happy girl. Sadly, our big lover boy Jax and Bella of 1000 kisses have still not found their forever homes. Both Bella and Jax are great dogs with big hearts and lots of love to give.
Jax is friendly, loving, likes to get his romp on but also likes to laze around the house with you. He is laid back, easy going and just loves life. He would really like his long journey to end with a happy home to call his own. He is not high maintenance, he is not a big barker or howler, he’s just a great companion and friend. He is not the youngest of men but he’s certainly not an “old dog” either. He has a lot of life and many great years left and he will certainly bring much joy and comfort to some lucky companions.
Bella is still Bella beautiful, happy and loving. She is in a new foster home with a fenced yard, a doggie playmate and two boys who adore her as much as she adores them. She loves to play with her canine “brother”, they race around the yard, play tug and chase and have a blast. She sleeps in bed with one of the boys all night and curls up with them when they watch TV. Yes, it is true that Bella’s walk is “distinctive” - just like Moses, when she walks you can tell something has been wrong. It does not stop her, hurt her or slow her down, it’s just a little different. And yes, it is true that she had an injury and will that make her more prone to arthritis? Maybe - no one really knows. But Bella is a gem, she is full of love and she’d like nothing more than her very own family to give it to.
